Sick Child Policy

When to Keep your Child Home

Students showing any of the symptoms below should kept at home. If students show any of these conditions or symptoms, parents will be contacted and your child will be released at the office.

  • Fever / Chills
  • Vomiting, Nausea, and or Diarrhea
  • Sore throat / Earache
  • Non-allergy related Persistent Coughing, Sneezing, Runny nose, and/or Headaches
  • Wheezing or Trouble breathing
  • Rash or Sores
  • Head Lice
  • Other suspected contagious conditions (i.e. impetigo , ringworm, scabies, pink eye, Foot and Mouth, etc.)

If your child is sick and will be absent, please notify your teacher or Class Rep.

As a general guidance, your child may attend school if he/she is symptom free without medication for 24 hours.
